Admission Procedures For Hospitalization

Hospitalization

Hospitalization at the Attica Rehabilitation and Recovery Center is exclusively in double or single rooms, which are spread across eight Nursing Wings, totaling 300 beds. All rooms are equipped with electrically adjustable beds, television, refrigerator, private bathroom for people with disabilities, air conditioning, nurse call system, and Wi-Fi.

Documents Required for Admission to
Inpatient Care Using EOPYY

  • Police ID
  • Tax Identification Number (AFM) & Tax Office
  • Social Security Registration Number (AMKA)
  • Discharge from a Public or Private Medical Institution
  • Medical Information Note from the Attending Physician
  • Electronic Medical Report from the Attending Physician, co-signed by the Director of the Public or Private Medical Institution
  • Approval of Electronic Opinion from EOPYY (for EOPYY insured patients)

Documents Required for Admission to Inpatient Care Using TYPET – EDOEAP – EYDAP

  • Police ID
  • Tax Identification Number (AFM) & Tax Office
  • Social Security Registration Number (AMKA)
  • Discharge from a Public or Private Medical Institution
  • Medical Information Note from the Attending Physician (for submission to the Insurance Fund for approval)
  • Medical Information Note from the Scientific Director of the Attica Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (for submission to the Insurance Fund)

Documents Required for Admission to Inpatient Care for the Ministry of Defense

  • Police ID
  • Tax Identification Number (AFM) & Tax Office
  • Social Security Registration Number (AMKA)
  • Discharge from a Public or Private Medical Institution
  • Medical Information Note from the Attending Physician
  • Approval Decision from the Security Body & Order of the Booklet

Documents Required for Admission to Inpatient Care Privately

  • Police ID
  • Tax Identification Number (AFM) & Tax Office
  • Social Security Registration Number (AMKA)
  • Discharge from a Public or Private Medical Institution
  • Medical Information Note from the Attending Physician

Useful Tips

Upon admission, the patient may bring clothing and footwear, personal hygiene and care items, as well as the required attire for treatments.
Specifically, for participation in a hydrotherapy program, swimsuits, swim caps, non-slip sandals, and earplugs are needed.
Possession of valuables, cash, and high-value electronic devices (e.g., laptops) should be avoided. The use of mobile phones should be done with discretion, so as not to disturb other patients.

Rights & Obligations

The Attica Rehabilitation and Recovery Center recognizes and protects the rights of patients, believing that ensuring these rights is the most reliable indicator of the quality of Medical and Nursing services offered.
Human Rights in Health Care, as articulated by the Greek Parliament through Law No. 2071/FEK 123/92, Article 47 of 1992 “On Safeguarding and Protecting Patients’ Rights,” which came into effect in 2006, as well as in accordance with European Law and the World Health Organization (WHO), relate to fundamental human values that briefly concern the right of every person to life, the right to physical and mental integrity and security, the right to respect for privacy and dignified treatment in the provision of health services, as well as the right to health protection through appropriate disease prevention measures and health care.
At the same time, the Attica Rehabilitation and Recovery Center implements Law 3304/2005, which establishes the principle of equal treatment regardless of racial or ethnic origin, religious or other beliefs, disability, age, or sexual orientation. Employees do not discriminate against any person based on race, color, national origin, disability, age, or any other characteristic during admission, treatments, participation in programs, educational seminars, various services and activities, or work, nor based on gender in its health programs and activities.
