Rehabilitation Nursing

According to the World Health Organization (2011), rehabilitation is defined as "a set of measures that assist individuals who are experiencing or are likely to experience disability to achieve and maintain optimal functioning in interaction with their environment."

Long-term experience &
targeted training”

The cornerstone of the rehabilitation process is the work of the Interdisciplinary Team, which adopts a holistic approach to the clinical management of patients. The Rehabilitation Nurses at the Attica Rehabilitation & Recovery Center, with extensive experience and targeted training, form a crucial link in the chain of the Interdisciplinary Team. Their contribution is pivotal in ensuring the rapid and effective recovery and rehabilitation of patients.

The nursing process, as applied within the rehabilitation cycle, includes:

  • Identifying/assessing the patient’s problems and needs,
  • Determining the issues the nurse needs to address,
  • Implementing intervention measures under the guidance of the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician,
  • Carrying out the interventions,
  • Evaluating the outcomes.

The Goal

The goal of the Rehabilitation Nurses at the Attica Rehabilitation & Recovery Center is to collaborate with patients, offering them relief and care to help them accept their new life conditions. They assist patients in regaining some of their previous abilities and help them return to life as autonomous and independent individuals.
